1975	Opened by the North York Public Library Board in co-operation with the North York Parks and Recreation Department, 25 June. Seligman and Dick Architects.
1995	Retrofitted.
2007	New hours, 8 January. Number of open hours per week unchanged.

Pleasant View is on Indigenous land. This is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee (ho-den-oh-sho-nee) Confederacy (aka. the Six Nations Confederacy), the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
